Why is the Oakie Baby safer than traditional heating methods?
Why is the Oakie Baby safer than traditional heating methods?
Oakie Baby is designed with safety in mind — especially for busy parents and hungry little ones. Unlike kettles, microwaves, or boiling water jugs, the Oakie Baby Portable Bottle Warmer uses a precisely controlled, built-in heating element inside a BPA-free glass chamber, so you know exactly what temperature your baby’s milk is being heated to — no guesswork, no overheating.
🔒 No exposed heat source – reduces the risk of burns and accidents
🍼 Temperature control (37°C–55°C) – so milk never gets too hot for baby. Research suggests that feeding babies cold or room-temperature milk may lead to digestive discomfort, including gas and upset stomachs.
💧 Even, gentle warming – protects nutrients in breastmilk and formula
💡 Cordless design – no wires, no plugs, no need to balance bottles in boiling water
🌿 BPA-free materials – safe for baby, easy to clean
Whether you're at home or out and about, Oakie offers peace of mind and practical safety that traditional methods just can't match.

How to Clean Your Oakie Warmer
After each use (with milk): Wash the glass chamber and lid with dish soap and hot water. Only rinse or pour hot water over the heating element. Ensure no water gets into the electronics or USB port.
After heating only water: No need to wash between uses.
Deep clean (every 1–2 weeks):
1. Pour out any leftover milk or liquid. Rinse with warm water, only use dishwashing detergent on the glass body, warmer lid and the clear silicone ring that sits around the base of the heating element. DO NOT use dishwashing liquid directly on the heating element.
2. Fill the warmer with 150ml of water.
3. Then add 150ml of vinegar to make a solution and let it sit for 5 minutes.
4. Tip out the solution, rinse with hot water OR add another 300mls of water and turn the warmer to 40°C - let it reach this heat to properly sanitise and then you can pour out the water.
5. Air dry or wipe with paper towel before storing.
NOTE: Please also follow the deep clean instructions before using the Oakie Baby Portable Bottle Warmer for the first time.
